Barbara dedicates a great deal of her time to speaking out about the Watch Tower Organization and educating the public about the dangers of their practices. September, 2009 — Chicago

On September 19th, Barbara was a guest speaker at the BRCI conference. She gave a speech titled, "Opening Pandora's Box" which covered her month-long European tour from earlier in the year.

June-July 2009 — European Tour

Highlights

On June 17, 2009 "I met with a highVatican prelate at the Vatican, in Rome who is in charge of cult studies, etc. On the 18th, this same man gave us a private tour of the Vatican and the Basilica. Later in the day, he interviewed me for over 30 minutes to be broadcast on Radio Maria, which 6 million Italians all over the world listen to."

In Paris "I met with the president of the anti-cult organization UNADFI on June 22, to discuss JWs. That same day, I also had a conference with a delegate (member) of Parliment about JWs."

On the 23rd "I met with an undersecretary to Prime Minister of France who represents the government anti-cult agency, Miviludes. (Interministerial Mission of Vigilance and Combat against Sectarian Aberrations)"

Overview

After touring Geneva and the area, we left for Rome. Roberto, our host, had made arrangements with people in Italy and France for me to meet, so before the trip was over, I spoke at five conferences, and was interviewed four times by press representatives, had three meetings with government officials; also had one radio and one TV interview where I expressed my conviction that there are policies and beliefs of Jehovah’s Witnesses’ organization that are dangerous to the well-being of its members; Moreover, I pointed out that associating with JWs can even cause harm to people not part of the group.

Note: Originally, the only lecture I planned was to speak on July 3rd at the annual conference of the International Cultic Studies Association, held at the University of Geneva. My topic was about the hidden problem of pedophilia in JW’s organization.
